Shingle bottom, good holding if you have the correct anchor. Protected from Northerly. The hotel/holiday place ashore at the anchorage is a little noisy. There are 8kt speed limit marker boys that surround the anchorage but doesn’t stop other boats speeding past, especially the speed boat that delivers and collects people to the holiday place. It is still a good anchorage that I would recommend. Surroundings are very pretty.

Great spot for a beach BBQ, although you must know that the island is privately owned. Anchor East of the Pier. If staying overnight, check tidal range and look for an area of deeper water. Avoid the Barnacle shoal.
