Open fair-weather anchorage for exploring Palaster reef. (Basically you can anchor anywhere along the reef, but this approach is straightforward from Cocoa point) We anchored in settled conditions; <10kts of wind and oil blank water due to a April high pressure. Not sure how fun it will be with a ground swell or heavy chop. Pristine crystal clear water with sand, anchor in 5meters. On our first swim we saw six huge barracudas, one reef shark and the corals were teeming with life, lots of Parrott fish. The corals are a storm damaged on the west side, but really good on the east side. There can be some current, so if going far away snorkeling, it's a good idea to bring the dinghy.
