Very poor anchor place. Even with north-easterly wind and swell you are rolling. We stopped for 3 hours during the night to get some sleep before entering Cartagena port. Those 3 hours were wasted😰.

Overnight stop quite confortable. NE winds blowing @13-17knts. Good holding in sand. A bit of swell, worse toward the morning. We anchored quite in the middle of the channel to the small marina, but far enough to not obstruct entrance. There are reefs on all sides, so a bit intimidating. We were the only boat at anchor that night. Not a very big place. Easy access to town but we didn’t try.

I feel duped as I avoided this based on reviews and moored on the northern side of Cabo du palos. The conditions are 7kt southerly wind and an east swell. The boat moored here isn’t rocking at all compared to mine. Also this is a lot closer to facilities and you have somewhere safe to moor your tender. Hope this helps others.
