No protection from wind, but 360 protection from waves. Some boat traffic. Creek leads to ocean so if your dink is down, it's a nice ride. Considerable amount of current, so you will swing about the anchor during tide changes. Tide is about 5 feet. Nice stop right off the ICW. The seabed is mud but that wasn't a choice!
