Phenomenal anchorage forain, in a superb setting. Good sand bottoms holding good. In southerly winds it is possible to anchor at Nerkis Liman, half a mile south of the bay. No shops, just a small Turkish holiday village and family clientele

We moved to the west of the marked anchorage. Better holding, no shelf rock, less swell. The wind didn't gust at us from the north like it did around the hill in our first anchorage. Still biting flies. A better experience.

We were SE of this anchorage. Even with wind from the north the swell comes into the bay from the south. If your boat likes to lie sideways to the swell, like ours, then it will be your wake up call. There are biting flies. Checking our anchor, it was laying on the ground. There are small rock shelves. We moved. All said, it is a beautiful location. 30 kts wind from N-NE, 2 yachts dragged.
