The island is beautiful. That said, the anchorage is horrible. We tried 4 times to drop the anchor, but it just dragged over the rocky seabed. The good spots are covered with commercial mooring buoys that are not for everyone, and tourist rib boats and ferries are all over the place. And forget about anchoring over night, while it is somewhat protected from NW-NE wind, the swell makes it uncomfortable and even dangerous to spend the night at anchor here.

It is one of the most beautiful anchorages in Portugal. The ideal is to plan to arrive in the morning and spend the day ... Without spending the night because it rolls a lot. However, you can take a dead body shuttle and moor the back of the boat to the rock to keep the bow against the swell. The owners are ok. So we had a good night. Magical walks on the island and very good Resto. In pre-season, the small bay in front of the Resto is accessible.
