In calm weather is really charming place. Short dinghy trip to the old port and you are in the heart of old town (we droped dinghy on the beach in right side of port). On maps this area marked as anchor prohibited zone, so we droped the anchor in few metres to South from the end of zone. There are big pricelist in the old port which says that "Anchorage near the old port area" cost is 675 kn for <20m vessel. But what means "near" and who must take a fee is not obviously. We were not asked for pay.

It is undoubtedly the ideal place to lay down the pickaxe and visit Dubrovnik. We went in the dinghy to the old port (be careful, some pebbles flush with the starboard entrance to the old port) which is in town. Do not get too close to the port (but impossible to know the exact distance) at the risk of being asked for a mooring fee .... We threw a little east of the beach, in front of a hotel ( + / = 400 - 500 meters from the port) and were not disturbed.

Super mooring day in calm weather for the visit of Dubrovnik, do not stay at night because in the morning the port authorities come to charge you an anchorage fee!
