September 2017. Anchoring outside and just to the NE of Ligia's town harbour is certainly a viable option when the weather is fine and with the prevailing NW winds, however, it would be untenable, almost regardless of direction, if the weather turned nasty. Anchoring in about 10m, the water is fairly cloudy due to the flow (and traffic) through the Lefkas Canal. Makes sure that you leave the harbour entrance well clear as local fishing boats come and go, day and night. Boat traffic through the canal, in season, can be fairly continuous but we do not experience much in the way of wash (especially overnight); the bay, at this point, seems to be open enough for it to dissipate. Ashore there are several dining options - the Seven Seas is highly recommended (and they operate a tender dock for patrons) - plus a couple of markets and a fine bakery. Car hire, etc, is also available in the town.
