This mooring is alongside the first big trawler at the entrance of fishing harbour. Pinto and his son Quintino live on these boats. They will be happy to grab your lines for you. They can help with repairs and provide good local information. Contact them on WhatsApp +2389983099. It is really safe there, unlike the rest of the bay where there has been reports of theft. We stay with them on several occasions and would gladly recommend anyone who wants to go to Praia to go there. The Policia Maritima will send you there if they know you want to stay the night.

We moored outside a big Cat and were the 4th boat on the outside. It is 17 EUR per night, there is no electricity or water but it is safer than the anchorage. We were told that a large boat was robbed one night while 10 people were sleeping onboard so i lock everything and do not leave anything valuable outside. Cafe Sofia is a 25 min walk up to Plateau but the area surrounding the fishing port is dangerous at night and EVERYBODY we met said not to walk there at night, even 4 adult men.
