    No, but seriously ... who can consider this as an anchorage ??? ... It is a silted canal exit on the Charente ... And if you are polished, they will open the floodgates. The boat covered with a layer of sticky grime and months of cleaning in sight ... If you get there, it's because you ran aground .....

    Non mais sérieusement... qui peut considérer ça comme un mouillage ???... C'est une sortie de canal envasée sur la Charente... Et si vous êtes vernis, ils vont vous ouvrir les vannes. Le bateau couvert d'une couche de crasse collante et des mois de nettoyage en vue... Si vous arrivez là, c'est que vous vous êtes échoué.....

    Only suitable for boats that can dry out. Anchor 40 meters into the canal, there's about 2-2.4 meters of water in the centre of the canal 2 hours before and after HW la Rochelle. Good holding in mud. Avoid anchoring too close to the eastern edge , where there are some wooden poles at the start of the canal that uncover at low tide. Very shallow on the western point. Very calm spot, lots of birds.
