Grandiose, access with little swell and wind without problem. Very good hold at 8m depth, 30m of chain. Do not drop anchor on the coral reef! Magnificent hike around the peninsula 4 hours. Tartane 1 hour walk. Very wild, magical.
Grandiose, accès avec peu de houle et de vent sans problème. Très bonne tenue par 8m de profondeur, 30m de chaîne. Ne jetez pas l ancre sur le banc de coraux ! Magnifique Rando autour de la presqu'île 4h. Tartane a 1h a pied. Très sauvage, magique.
Confirmed. Do not anchor in the shallows. We first handed had the experience to watch a French sailboat be told by the park rangers to move out in deeper water.

Somewhat confusing whether or not allowed to anchor in the Caravelle National Park. Navionics shows no anchorage or use of motor boats, but the same map text suggests use of moorings only. No moorings are visible in the anchorage. Some also suggest it's only allowed for day anchorage, but could not provide the source of this information. After observing several local boats using the anchorage we decide to give it a try. We ended up staying for almost a week, and did not have any problems. Several local boats visited during this time. Beautiful anchorage and a lovely beach. Great nature hikes along the dramatic cliffs of the Atlantic coast with spectacular views. One of our favorites in Martinique. Very well protected and we respected a user comment in Navionics suggesting only to anchor on the deep 10-12 meter of water (after being told by park rangers). Though several boats did not observe this and would go all the way up to the beach. Hopefully boaters will keep respecting the anchorage for everyone to enjoy this beautiful National Park.
