Nice anchorage and well protected from South/South-West through North. US forces laid concrete paving during World War 2 and so the bottom can be hard to dig in as there are large section of this still intact underwater, predominantly at the southern end of the beach. A little busy at weekends but a pretty Anchorage and easy access by dinghy to the beach to explore Mount Edgcumbe House or take the ferry to Plymouth city centre (£2 each way). We had no trouble leaving our dinghy on the beach, just take the kill switch lanyard 🙂

Nice location. Busy on fine days so not easy to anchor a larger yacht. We found it took two attempts to find a good bite for the anchor. Popular though and cheaper than a marina with all Plymouth has to offer just opposite.

Some boats come there to anchor. Beautiful location and beautiful park and free gardens nearby
Quelques bateaux viennent y mouiller. Endroit superbe et magnifique parc et jardins gratuits a proximité
