I manually measured the depth at the center to be 9' during high tide. The mud is very organic and thick. Holding is good. Wind from the south whips over the bridge and causes some kind of push right here, but its not too bad. We are currently experiencing 20mph winds with 25mph gusts and holding great with a 55# anchor and 100' of chain. The only boats here are in good condition. This is not a meth village. Million dollar homes all around us, dinghy dock, boat ramp, Publix is 1/4 mile walk, and it's a big nice Publix (Indian Rocks). We are happy to be here and have found this to be the best anchorage so far around Clearwater area.
