For years this bay has been one of the first stops when we sail west from Göcek. Crystal clear water, you anchor at 10 meters above the sandy bottom. We always bring out land lines to the rocky beach or a little further north to the rocks. The lines must be long, because rocks lie beneath the surface of the water towards the shore. But you can also swojen freely. The bay is open to the south, but with the prevailing westerly winds you are safe here. Occasionally there is a little swell in the bay, but it is bearable. You will be rewarded with absolute tranquility and magnificent nature. In the evening a motorboat briefly comes from the pub in the northern tip and you are politely asked if you would like to come and eat. This bay is one of our favorites.

We anchored here overnight in 2.8m of crystal clear water, opposite the caves. It has good holding with sandy patches and is a great stop between Göcek/Fethiye and Marmaris

This is truly a super anchorage that should not be missed. It's right next to the Blue Grotto (Blue Caves), and going for a swim here is an unbelievable experience. Go into the smaller cave entrances on the far right and far left and you'll feel like you're in another world. We arrived in the dark, and we're worried that we'd have to stay on the pontoon at the restaurant, but we dropped anchor 150m away, and right next to the caves, and we're glad we did. This anchorage is not to be mistaken with the tourist resort/beach that it's close to. Anchoring is permitted and while there are several gulets that visit the caves during the day, they aren't too many in number and they're all small, rather than the huge boats that normally bring tourists to such locations. The anchorage is in 10m on sand with good holding. There's a little swell, but that can easily be countered with a line to shore. We will stay here again on our return journey after visiting Marmaris and Bodrum. - this is why we sail, to discover places like this! You won't be disappointed!!!
