Random currentls yesterday evening left us having to reset our position twice in relation to other boats, and at slack tide at 5am this morning the boat was all over the place.. shifting the chain as it moved.. otherwise very pleasant and much quieter than east head over yonder

Good holding in 4-5 metres in mud. Dinghy to Harbour authority pontoon in Itchenor where there are showers and toilets. Harbour fee of £6 per night for 11m boat. Good pub (The Ship) in village but no shops. Coastal path for dog walking.

Just be aware the island is a secure military site. Don’t be tempted to pop ashore.
