    le chant du vent | Sailboat ~ 11.5 m

That day, strong easterly swell, wind 15 to 20 knots. I arrived at this anchorage, a swimming pool !! Just the wind blowing over the mountain but which was not a problem at all. It was just a stopover for the night.

Easy and nice anchorage but the night swell was too uncomfortable to stay, maybe not luck that day but departure at night suddenly.

Great Anchorage - have been here before and will come back again. Today there was a 20kt wind coming off the land - but the sandy base gives a good hold. It can be very busy - but most have left by 6:30 pm so that’s a good time to arrive for an overnight stop. Moraria is a very pleasant town with plenty of restaurants and bars. Good a access onto the beach - then a 15 min walk into town. There are 6 or so buoys - but these look too small for a 11:00 yacht - and are spaced close together - they look more suited to day boats.
