Beautiful anchorage at the foot of the absolutely typical Sardinian old town and its castle at the top. A medieval side with its small winding streets and its original craft shops (super cutlery for example) + all shops. If bad weather at anchor, the super harbor is west side.

We’ve been anchored here for 2 days and nights. The bottom is rocky and gets shallow further in, so anchor in no less than 8m. There’s a noisy hotel on shore but it’s tolerable. Easy access to the tiny beach by dinghy where steps lead into the town. Castelsardo is gorgeous too!

The sea is disgusting, not swimmable. Superb view of the upper town. Not sheltered from the west swell.

La mer y est dégueulasse, non baignable. Superbe vue sur la ville haute. Pas abrité de la houle d'ouest.
