Good holding and quite a way up the harbour, so reasonably protected from the wind in any direction. The tide tends to be dominant, so you will swing through 180 degrees when it turns. Usually less crowded than the popular anchorage at East Head. Also, it’s A short dinghy ride to the jetty at West Itchenor and then a short walk to a pub with food.
