Good holding and very well protected from wind and swell. Anchored here on a Friday and the loud music was loud but the bar was nice and let’s face it we are paying nothing to sit on the water in front of a bar that needs to attract business. There is a plus. This bar is next to a small pontoon used for water ski drag and that is not operational so you can tie up your tender and go into this bar. The bar even offered to call us if there was a problem with our tender being there. All in all this was a great place to anchor for the night, get into town and get a good nights sleep.

In terms of protection and holding, this anchorage is excellent. A nice sandy bed in 10m of water. There is decent access to shore and three separate marinas. We left our dinghy tied near the fishing dock. Plenty of good facilities ashore - Mercadona and laundrette only 10 mins walk. The major downfall of this anchorage (which is why we have only awarded 3/5 stars) is the really noisy bar. Situated in the corner of the anchorage, this bar and restaurant (La Bocana) is part of the water sports centre. The music is extremely (and unnecessarily) loud and goes on until the early hours of the morning. During our stay (Sept 2020) the Covid restrictions meant it had to close at 1am (thankfully!) however, reviews for Marina Salinas suggest under normal circumstances, the music goes on until 4am.
