15 km long sandy beach. Anchor anywhere. Very gently sloping bottom of compact sand with sparse grass. Excellent holding, unlike the thinly covered rock or soft silt in most of the rest of Kolpos Lakonikos. Mostly empty beach, one or two beach bars. Shelter from NW-N-NE, but check for swell from S when it's calm. Sat out Meltemi here with 40 knot gusts. Anchor as far in as you like to reduce fetch.
