Anchorage well protected. Attention to the water level with the tide. Follow the channel to get there! Its highlight is that it is close to the port of small craft and the city (possibility of going there annex and to dock the annex on the gasoline amount left entering the port). Low point of anchorage: very close to the airport (lots of noise). Some buoys are available, some seem to be paid for and we are told that it is possible to reserve at the harbor master's office.

This area is full of privately laid moorings with virtually no room left to drop anchor, unless your boat can dry out on the sandbank, and as you are close to moored boats your length of scope if very limited, also this area is very busy with trip and speedboats going out to Faro beach, you are better back out near buoy 21 where there are no moorings but leave the deep channel clear for larger boats and working boats such as the dredger dumping ship which works out of the boatyard.

Good anchorage with good holding, Very noisy and very tricky to go in, follow the channel and check the tides.
