    Clay bottom, flat. Can be a bit rolly due to passing vessels, though not too bad most of the time. Nearby Newtown Creek is often very busy. Be careful if you go ashore to the beach - adder snakes ( poisonous) prevail on back beach environment at certain warm times if the year
