We spent two nights here. We tried to anchor to the east of the bay opposite the town and the guy managing the mooring buoys came over and told us our chain was on posidonia so we moved further into the bay because the only available patches of sand were crowded with boats. We took two attempts at anchoring in mud and dragged a little the following day so reanchored. Just as we were leaving today we dragged again so it was definitely time for us to leave! Fornells is a pretty little town with at least two good supermarkets and plenty of restaurants. We can recommend Sa Nanca just north of the marina.

Very nice spot. Having a buoy to tie up to (and avoid finding a patch of sand to anchor in) makes for a relaxing night with easy access to town (there is a public spot to tie annex by gas station). Good restaurants and very good customer service from marinero.

Very practical buoys, especially when there is a north-easterly wind. The man who manages the buoys is really very nice. The small town is worth a visit. To eat in one of these restaurants in summer, remember to book the day before because it becomes very complex to find a table afterwards as they are so popular, especially for their lobster-based specialties. As for the buoys, it is possible to book them the day before on the "cbbasea" application.
