We arrived at Campese this afternoon and anchored in a nice flat 10m spot just outside the buoys -- and then 1/2hr later a man in a rib came along and removed all the buoys! End of season. Good news for those still sailing :-) It seems a lovely spot and the right protection for tonight.

Red swimmer’s Buoyes are the issue. They are way to far from the beach and oblige you to place your anchor on a steep slope of sand and rocks. The minimum you can get is 9meters. But it quickly goes down to 25. Little area where small boats can anchor. It can become a trap if you anchor in no-wind and wind picks up later, especially in high season! It would be enough to move the limit 50meters in, to have a nice flat 8-6m sand. The bay is in general very nice, and lively. Not super protected from southerly winds as 2 valleys between the hills are allowing quite strong gusts to blow. Bus to Giglio Castello and Porto every 40min.

Always many boats. If you do not find a place near the coast, the depth becomes excessive. If the mistral enters, it runs fast

Sempre tante barche. Se non trovi posto vicino alla costa la profondità diventa eccessiva. Se entra il maestrale scappa veloce
