Welcome to cop town. it’s a nice town lots restaurants ,expensive boat chandler, good food stores and butcher. But the port police are crazy if they don't like your documents they arrest you and your boat.

The anchorage is open to west and even if there is a little wind and small waves, the reflection from the quay makes choppy seas which beat the transom. Very uncomfortable in these conditions. Otherwise, good bus connection to Sparta and thus to Mistras. And Saga on the quay is an outstanding fish restaurant.

Anchorage has very soft silt bottom, holding poor. Open to N-NE-E, good shelter otherwise. Nice town, good supermarket. Good live music from Bohemia hotel near anchorage. Sewer smell when the wind dies. Port police came with their big RIB and insisted we come to their office, so had to dinghy ashore again. Polite and professional, but could have checked our papers on the boat just as well.
