Note 1: This is a national park area. You must not anchor in corals! Our anchor was visually inspected by park officials. Note 2: Depths are not entirely correct after the 2.5m curve. Note 3: While much of the anchorage is sand and weed, there are some small colonies of corals, especially on the open sand dots. --- Well protected anchorage behind the coral reef. Far out and open to the wind, but only small chop of waves from wind direction. Beautiful color play in the water. We dropped anchor up to the 2.5m depth curve (1.9m draft). After a quick swim we could confirm good holding in sand and well clear of corals. Tip: find a 'dark' spot which is likely to be sand w/ grass and not sand w/ corals (bluish area) We took the dinghy up to the north point of the island to drift back with the current and wind, to check the depths by snorkeling. They are NOT entirely correct. The curve chart (Navionics) show a lagoon of 2.5-3m depths, but this is not correct and I don't believe you can enter this with a keel boat. But yes you can venture a bit further in after the 2.5m curve and drop the hook in 2-2.5m water. There are some spread colonies of corals, some towering up, so do so with care. Observed a large spotted ray and a Barracuda. Other than that only the usual 'suspects' small fish around the corals. The island has some beautiful beaches.

    Gingembre | Sailboat ~ 13.5 m

Anchorage in 2 meters. Very wild sheltered with the coral reef. Ideal for spending the night in peace.

Mouillage dans 2 mètres. Très sauvage à l'abri avec la barrière de corail. Idéal pour passer la nuit en toute quietude.
