Anchorage well protected, and beautiful scenery, however when we were there, there was a very strong smell of sewage, and the water was questionable. We left quickly. Was it a punctual and natural smell of decomposing plants?

The Covid must have some advantages. We were alone at this just perfect anchorage in an east wind: almost perfect wind protection and no roll. Have good cards for the pass which is still quite wide. The pontoon is private and overlooks a well maintained property that appears to be a seasonal rental. If there is no one there it is possible to enjoy the swings and the view from the southwest side of the islet. Anchorage by 8m of grassy bottom very good behavior. The white backgrounds between the islets Oscar and Thierry are 2km away. Plan to go early in the morning to be there on your own. The pontoon at Ilet Thierry is private and a dog is watching at the top ..;) It moves a bit to get there but it goes easily even with a 3 HP dinghy engine. Quite a few fast boat trips on weekends connecting Le Simon and Le François with white backgrounds and Joséphine's Bath. There seem to be parties organized on Oscar Island with very loud music on Saturday nights. Other than that it is an idyllic anchorage!

A bit open to the wind if northerly, but well protected from swell. Not very clear water. On the far north of the island there is a beautiful beach accessible by dinghy. We did a ride around the island and had some great views. There are not many paths on land to walk we heard, and everything looks a little private. The depths in to land are not accurate with the chart, on the 5m curve we were reading 10m.
