100% 360 degree protection in 6m on a mud bottom. This is a great little anchorage for visiting Demre for reprovisioning, and for Myra. There are two lovely beaches within ten minutes walk of the anchorage, and Myra (St Nicholas Church, and the tombs) are around a 4km walk. This man made bay is surrounded on three sides by a high sea wall, and on the other side by a hill. The anchorage is frequented by two fishing boats, and the fishermen are really friendly; inviting us to a BBQ and we were offered fish from their catch. There are fish in the bay, so line fishing is good, but beware of the pufferfish. The walk to Myra is pleasant, and the church and a couple of KM further are the tombs, that are not to be missed. I'm not sure what this was constructed for, whether a marina or a fishing port, but it's mostly unused at the moment. It's hardly picturesque, but very comfortable.
