Very well protected bay with good anchorage in the sandy bottom. to the promenade of elounda about 1 nm with the dinghi. The water is not very clear through the sandy bottom and when the swell comes from the direction of elounda there is a little plastic rubbish which collects in the corner of the bay with the small beach and barbecue area.

The bay is well protected from the sea but beware of the katabatic winds that blow violently from the west. With force 3 or 4 Beaufort winds in the open sea, constant and continuous katabatic gusts on 25 - 30 - 35 knots. It is advisable to anchor on the west side along the entire bay so as not to have the rocks immediately at the stern of your boat. If you arrive at night no problem, the depths are maximum 7 meters even in the center of the lagoon. To enter the bay, sail slightly east (towards the island of Spinalonga) from the center of the channel and you will have a minimum depth of 4.5 meters.

All around sheltered anchorage, water clean but a bit murky.

Rundum geschützter Ankerplatz, Wasser sauber aber etwas trüb.
