I know the anchorage extremely well. It’s a lovely anchorage in summer but some caution should be exercised particularly when winds are in the south, east and north east. Even when winds are in the Southwest there can be a significant swell in the bay. The bay is fairly shallow at low water particularly inshore so better to anchor off a bit in case the wind veers around to the south or southeast.

Nice and calm anchorage. Well protected from West and North winds. Possibility to arrive at night after a crossing of the Channel.

Mouillage agréable et calme. Bien protégé des vents d'Ouest et du Nord. Possibilité d arriver de nuit après une traversée de la Manche.

Great anchorage but very busy in season. Nice and quiet out of season especially new year's day! Pub etc on shore.
