Kioni is back in business after the Medicane with several excellent tavernas and cafes open. Lovely stop as always. At 4pm still a few spots on the quay.

My favourite spot at Ithaca. We anchored in 16 meters of water and we had no issues. Wonderful spot

A beautiful harbour, my favourite stop in this part of the Ionian. Berth on the quayside with anchor (north) or with a line ashore on the southern side. Beware of extremely strong swell on the southern side when the ferry’s go past to/from Frikes, barely felt on the northern side. Well protected from swell/wind otherwise, some strong gusts in the evening. Water is expensive (€3 per 50L) and you’ll have to fetch a man to plug his meter in, but he’ll also give you a long hose even if you’re anchored with a line ashore on the south side. When it’s busy you’ll almost definitely find your anchor crossed with someone opposite, and charter cats in particular can be brutal with squeezing in to get space on the quayside. Nevertheless, in my opinion this stop is a must.
