Good holding, nice to visit puert de santa maria 30 minutes walking. Very noise from jetskys and motor boats. We were there 2 days and was ok.

Generally a good anchorage. Good holding on sand stones and mud. Can be quite rolly with swell. With a Southerly wind the swell can get quite high and the waves break quite a distance from the shore making it uncomfortable. There are several beaches with safety lanes for the tender but the beaches are busy and friends had their dinghy tampered with, filled with sand and shoes taken. The bay is popular with other boaters and frequently busy with jet skis. Rota marina is clean cheap and a good safe haven. There are several supermarkets in town and the town itself is a nice place to visit, lively but with lots of historic charm. Well worth a couple of days visit.

Contrary to what it may appear on the chart, with a W or WNW wind the wave comes in and follows the coast. Good anchor behavior at 3-4 meters, sandy bottom
Contrariamente a lo que puede parecer en la carta, con viento del W o WNW entra la ola que gira siguiendo la costa. Buen comportamiento del ancla en 3-4 metros, fondo de arena
