Disregard the cruisers manual recommendations and skip this anchorage unless you are super experienced and find some sandy spots. We tried four times to anchor and ended up in coral each time and finally gave up due to nightfall never finding sand.

The anchorage has charm, but the bottom is strewn with coral rocks that are difficult to avoid. And, in the event that you get stuck in sand, the chain rages on the rock between the anchor and the dinghy ... Prefer the anchorage north of Pelican: Hansen Bay, which is more sandy.
