One of Northumberland’s most picturesque anchorages with views of Dunstanburgh Castle to the south. Accessible at all states of the tide. Off-lying rocks to the north and south of the entrance to the bay. These are well marked on the charts. Don’t be tempted to cut the corner particularly when entering from the south. Good holding in sand. The Ship Inn in the tiny village square within walking distance of the shore serves real ale and food.
