We anchored here in settled conditions and it was near perfect. Tiny roll. Anchored in front of the beach in hard sand with good holding. Note this is NW Monterroso. There are two. The train is near and you can visit all the villages by train or walking. Each train trip €4. To walk the paths €7.5 per day. Or best is day passes (both train and walking) €16 one day, €29 two days, €41 three days. You have to ALSO buy park permit to anchor in Zone C at €13 per day at http://www.parconazionale5terre.it/Erilascio-permessi-registrazione.php

We picked up a mooring buoy off Monterosse al Mare. The Navily mark is off Monterosse Ponente, just west of Monterosse al Mare, which I think is the more interesting town and historic center. You can tie up your dinghy on the concrete quay but not out on the end as the tour boats use that space. There are alot of nice shops in town and the walk west up to the fortification has nice views. The walk east on the start of the Cinque Terre trail is also enjoyable. We really had a nice time here.

Located between monterosso levante and monterosso del mare, good anchorage outside buoys and c area. Sand of very good behavior. Depth 10-15 m. July 23rd 2 boats at anchor. Beautiful views. some waves caused by the boats daily walks. Nothing disturbing.
