Blessed with a gentle wind crossing from Datça peninsular we spent a pleasant night at anchor here in front of Oren town. The beachfront itself is decorated with colored long paving stones and quaint matching wicker parasols. Very busy with local tourists, lots of places to eat . Eventually we found the supermarket in the main street which begins at the center of the beach curve. Nice place to spend the night . Leave your dingy at the south end of the beach where the fishing boats moor. Good goats milk ice-cream by where the tram used to stop. Bit of a swell for an hour or two during the night .

After a brilliant sail across the bay, we anchored early afternoon in mud in 11m just outside the fishing village, to avoid the swell. By 9pm the wind picked up to 16kts from the East, not forecasted, and the swell too picked up. It died down again. The anchor was well dug in. In the afternoon, noise from the beach and the occasional nosey swimmer. Not really an ideal overnight stop, but possible.
