Very nice and protected anchorage from the prevailing north and west winds. The seabed is falling off quickly. No problem with enough chain. The Sphaktiria Beach is super beautiful with the cliffs. Clear water and almost no waves which was perfect especially for us with babies. Hiking is also very good. Once to Voidokilas Beach or also called Ox Bay or to the castle ruins from which you have a great view of the Ox Bay. Sturdy shoes are important here. Great anchorage of mud in around 14m. Wind blew in the afternoon at 25 knots from the NW, but died down after sunset. Peaceful nights sleep.

Mud, good holding, but steep bottom, anchor in 8-12m with extra scope as the anchor will have to set downhill. Best shelter from NW and no swell coming here from the entrance of the bay. Land dinghy on the beach for a walk up to the old castle, climb down the other side to Nestor's cave and from there to the beach. Return path along the salt marsh on the east side. About 2 hours if you stop for photos. Wear long trousers and proper shoes. Some traffic from small boats and water sports.
