Best anchorage in SF Bay, whether for a lunch stop or overnight. Can be quite warm in summer and early fall (until sunset). Main annoyance is the wakes from passing tugs and ferries in the shipping channel. Wide open, great mud holding, choose your depth and know the tides.

The anchorage is not protected from the west wind, it will get quite choppy and stay that way overnight. The pier does not allow any motorized dinghies to tie up and no dogs are allowed at the nearby park and beach.
