Worst anchorage in our life... Twice!
Worst anchorage in our life... Twice!
We’ve anchored here many times. There’s a very extensive anchorage from 3m to 20m, with many small boats close and usually some superyachts further out. Protection from the West and South, but still usually choppy from boat and jetski movements in the day. Quieter at night. Palmanova is quite distinct from Magaluf in the next bay, and is much less rowdy. Holding can sometimes be questionable. Ashore there’s a dinghy dock by the diving school and beach bars, many restaurants and supermarkets easily reachable.

Choose spot carefully as there is patchy weed and sand. Crowded anchorage as it’s one of the few places you can land dinghy on a pier, so easy access to shore. Touristy beach next door to Magaluf can be rowdy, but this year.. less so. Jet skis and wakeboard boats can be a nuisance.
