This is a delightful and nicely protected anchorage area. There was some swell from the easterly winds, but this wasn’t too much of an issue for us. The beach is easily accessible and we left our dinghy in the beach to explore the town. There are hundreds of bars, restaurants and ice cream parlours lining the beachfront and parallel streets, and plenty of supermarkets for provisions. We anchored there for 7 nights without problem. However, the Guardia Civil asked us to move on our 8th day, telling us that we weren’t allowed to anchor in this bay. They were quite firm with us and waited on the fuel dock at the marina watching us until we lifted our anchor and left. This anchorage is clearly marked on our Navionics charts and in the pilot books.

Excellent small anchorage right outside the marina entrance. Good holding and easy access to the beach for landing the dinghy. Beach very busy with tourists during the day and lots of swimmers and paddleboarders in and around the anchorage, however quiet and well sheltered at night, had a lovely overnight stay,. Nice bakery just over the road by the beach for early morning pastries
