Nice spot, dropped the hook in 3,5m chart depth. Seaweed but didn’t bother the CQR anchor.

This is The most protected anchorage we found since La Coruña. We’ve had wind N NE S SW up to 30 knots. No swell at all. A number of beautiful beaches.Stayed for about 3 weeks. If you anchor in the river with a northerly or NE wind, the wind gets amplified by the shape of the river. If you anchor to far west you can hear the noise of the 24-7 factory ventilator. This factory seems to be processing seafood. Make sure to visit Ria do Porto. (About 1km from the anchorage) The river entrance completely dries up on low tide. But if you look for it you’ll find the river which is deeper. Good for fishing and finding mussel and other seafood. On the Ria beach you’ll find free outdoor and indoor showers. Also about 20 public barbecues. Nice place to spent the day. With the dingy you can go up to a Ponte do Porto on the river. A small cute river town. Between Ria do Porto and muxia there is a Long Beach with one restaurant with a very good view. Muxia has a nice chandler whom is happy to order something if he doesn’t have stock. Only fuel is at Muxia.

Good holding. Soft shelving floor. We anchored too Far East and too deep. Recommend anchoring further west and as shallow as you dare. Low grade factory noise is 24/7. Lovely beaches. No beach facilities. Good restaurants in town and supermarkets.
