If you don’t need to go to the port this anchorage in the sand in front of the pier and in front of a bar embedded in the rocks The Remeetzo Café offers tranquility and pleasant surroundings.

Si vous n’avez pas besoin d’aller au port ce mouillage dans le sable devant la jetée et devant un bar encastré dans les rochers Le Remeetzo Café offre tranquillité et environnement agréable.

Poros is not the most beautiful port but it is a place of reasonable shelter convenient for passage between the inland sea and Zante or Argostoli. Free water no electricity. The shoaling area in the middle of the harbour seems to have disappeared. 20 euro for 15 m length A ten minute walk takes you to the town with all facilities and restaurants. There are small tavernas by the port but we walked into town. The harbour master is real and not a con. He doesn’t know where reports of someone else trying to collect harbour fees started but he has never seen this phantom. He wears a mask has an iPad with details of boats which have visited recently and a tiny printer on his belt. Nice guy. Poros is not my first choice of a stop but fine if it fits your passage planning.
