Very scenic and peaceful anchorage with good swell protection, but limited wind protection if more than 20...25 kn from west. Otherwise, wind will channel through the valley and create a nice jet. If you don‘t mind wind in an anchorage, it‘s perfect even in those conditions as the water is flat. Close to the beach, the wind at the surface drops, but still makes noise in your rigg. Alternatively, go to Porto Novo South. Bottom is mostly sand, but also some areas with rock and with thick seaweed. Good holding in sand. Close to the beach still with 3 to 4 m of depth on sand. Careful (see pictures): a) Approx 100 m from the beach in the center and north to it to approx 50 m from the north shore is a barrier of stones with about 2 m water and some rocks close to the center with less. Beyond that towards the beach, water drops again to 4 m. North of the stone barrier, it is a bit deeper (approx 3 m), raising again towards the north shore. There is a small channel with deeper water through the stone barrier as well, but only visible in very calm water or while snorkeling. b) There is another patch of stones with approx 1.5 m water about the 100 m from the beach towards the south shore, by the land tip next to the small cove.

Beautiful bay, with crystal clear water !! Excellent grip on the sand, good protection is W / SW, the only bad note when we arrived there were some large yachts anchored at 6mt in the center of the bay, one in particular in front of us that unfortunately went from one side to the other with the wind other taking up a lot of space !!

Excellent choice, since Rondinara and Santa Giulia have become almost unusable during the season.

Ottima scelta, dal momento che Rondinara e Santa Giulia in stagione sono diventate pressoché inagibili.
