We were anchored here for about 15 days. The anchorage is made near the poitas and rocks a little when launching boats. During the day, airplanes land and take off from the airport. We left the boat on the beach with steel wire and padlock and never touched it. We found the neighborhood super safe and has a supermarket, bars and restaurants nearby. Great location for visiting RJ sights. The water is polluted and gives a lot of barnacle at the bottom of the boat.

A água é poluída e dá muita craca no fundo do barco.

Best spot, best view, best experience in Rio! Serach for Giovani, on a boat with a pirate flag. He will set you up in a collaborative stay at Urca. The mooring buoys are safe (we stood in a 41 feet for a week with 25kt winds). You can also go by ding to the beach and find a supermarket in a 5 min walk (Zona Sul). Giovani can find you clean water, take you to the beach, bring you ice, gas... plus you're in one of the safest neighbourhood in Rio de Janeiro. Sailors usually come to stay some days and get to stay some months.
