Get there early to get a good spot as it gets very full in the afternoon. The depth drops off quick, we anchored in 7m close to shore and it was quickly 18m not far out. Good holding in sand. We took the dinghy to shore adjacent, but the beachfront is steep so we anchored the dinghy just off the shore and waded in. Other people with lighter dinghies pulled theirs up onto the rocky beach. Easy walk along the foreshore road past a couple of restaurants back to the ferry dock, then up the steep hill to the church and more restaurants. Or flag down an electric golf cart taxi to take you. There is a lot of movement all afternoon as boats come and go, then the sunset volcano cruisers leave to do the loop.

Very nice place to stay the night. Nice black beach you can swim to or go by dingy. Easy to anchor in sand with enough shallow water.

sand on 6 meters. Close to the entry channel. limited protection. Night sail around the island highly recommended.
