As said , great anchorage. Easy to get ashore. Untill 20.00 a bit bumpy because of all ferry boats but after a quiet and very nice place to stay. 5-6 mtr of sandy bottom with a good hold.

A nicer alternative than anchoring outside the very busy Palau marina. We anchored in 3.5m of sand and spent 2 days and nights there. Easy to get the dinghy to shore (if with a motor park on the rocks, with oars you can tie up to the walkway on the beach). 10min walk into Palau past some nice restaurants. Swell during the day from passing motorboats but flattens out by 7pm. Small bar near the beach but that’s it.

Sleep and go. Early the ferries and Yacht mix all water in sparsh. The anchor pic easy, ever in the dark night. At night it is very difficult to navigate in this region, because Porto Rafael has several light spots directed to the channel. Long range exits, maybe 1 nm, should be prohibited. I considered a disrespect for Port Rafael.
