Reviewing Visitors Buoys in the River on the seaward side of Salcome. Harbour master pointed out buoy to moore up to which was rafted up to another yacht on the buoy. Over the 2 days we stayed we had 2 different yachts along side. Not something we have experienced before and to be honest not something we would choose to do again. Strong currents in the river which were not really an issue but something to be aware of. Short dingy ride into the town where all facilities available in abundance. Lovely place to visit but very crowded in the summer months.

Plenty of DEEP WATER anchorage spots: Sunny’s Cove, Saltstone, Millbay, Smalls Cove, East Portlemouth, etc.

This is not an anchorage area. There are only private moorings here for boat that are able to dry out.
