    Perfect Day | Sailboat — 9.3 m

A chose to seek shelter here during some strong North-West winds for 4 days. Had to anchor stern-to on the northern breakwater (on the inside). When the weather was bad the swell was extremely bad, the wind was very strong with little protection and the waves would crash on the breakwater and spray over my boat. I ended up shutting myself inside and had to give the decks a good scrub once everything had calmed down, snubbers were also essential for me. Water is free (underneath the small metal covers), the port authorities are lovely (and gave me a discount for 4 days), and provisions are extremely good in Sami (including a chandlery).

I confirm the comments of the various boaters. The price is not fixed. I paid € 13.16 for a 38 footer. In a strong N / W wind, mooring at the quay is difficult because there is a 3/4 tail wind. You have to anchor the anchor very far ahead (between 40/45 meters) to have a good chance of success. Port staff (in clearly visible yellow) give you valuable advice. Lake Messilani is 3 km away on foot. No bus ... By taxi it's £ 20 round trip. Please note it closes at 5.10 p.m. in September. We missed it by 10 minutes

Noisy port and The atmosphere is a bit depressing ... maybe because of the covid atmosphere or the consequences of the 2008 crisis.
