Nice port well protected. Many taverns. Shops nearby. Melissani cave with underground lake to visit nearby.

Joli port bien protégé. Nombreuses tavernes. Commerces à proximité. Grotte de Melissani avec lac souterrain à visiter à proximité.

We stayed here for a few days and had a very pleasant stay. The town overall is not the cutest stop in the ionian and there is not beach but the town quay is well protected by the breakwater which stops a lot of the big swells. I can confirm the large pier concrete sticking out of the pier. It is at about the last spot on the pier and we docked right next to it. Just tied a spring line to keep the boat from being blown into it. The port guys are VERY kind. Cannot say enough kind things about them. They assisted us in docking and also called a truck to bring us diesel for the engine (1.4/L) . The garbage is quite a walk away and they even offered to take our trash for us on his vespa. We ended staying for 4 nights and paid 45€. No electricity but water is free and accessible. Lots of restaurants and a little bit of shopping but not much. There is a laundry man just a 5 min walk away and he will wash and fold your laundry for 10€ a load. Very kind as well. Anchor holds good but beware of anchor crossing. In the few days we were there we saw at least 6 boats with anchors crossed all over each other. There is lots of room for boats with the vast majority med moored. A few of the larger yachts are docked alongside the breakwater. Quite a few bigger grocery stores here so a good stop for picking up reasonably priced food. Last thing, definitely go see the melisanni caves while you are here!!! It is entirely worth the whole stop. We got a taxi for 25€ total and he waited for us while we did the cave. It is about a 15 min drive and entrance is 6 € a person I believe. Pre Covid they used to have 2,500 people a day but we pretty much had it to ourselves. The water is stunning and a man takes you around in a row boat and tells you some history. One of my favorite things I have seen in Greece so far!!!

Nice spot and well managed. Note, the yellow shirt marina personnel are now wearing dark blue shirts. Call them on vhf 10 or you can find them at the hut at the entrance. Be careful when anchoring as the area is small and it is easy to cross chains. Great restaurants, grocery, and chandlery in town.
