Spent a week here in all sorts of conditions. Flat calm to 40knot winds and it’s a great anchorage. You feel like you’re out in the open but it very well protected, especially at LW when it’s very pleasant. Only really get the swell at the top of the tide if it’s been blowing. We found it much more comfortable than many paid for bouys in the are too. Easy to explore St Martin and Tresco from here as well as some of the small islands. Holding has been great too.

This Anchorage is a god send in a gale. Good holding if you don’t hook weed. All round protection from the swell and some from the wind. Currently 25kts and I’m here several other yacht waiting out the storm.

Anchorage very well sheltered from the swell even in strong wind.
Mouillage très bien abrité de la houle même par vent fort.
