Nice quiet anchorage. Beach is easily reachable by Dinghy but we had some things stolen from the dinghy, luckily they did not take the outboard, oars, or dinghy itself. Some nice restaurants but could not find Any grocery stores.

    Patea | Sailboat ~ 13.7 m

Good holding, but noisy chain over predominately rock bottom. Potential to get well snagged so if you can find a patch of sand then try hit that with your anchor. You might get asked for money for dingy security on the beach - we paid 5 euros but it may be unnecessary. Locals appreciate old sails and batteries, and appear to re use a lot of gear.

Good holding on sand, some rocky patches in places. You can ask for water in the little building to the left of the fishing boats. Good vegetable market and large choice of grocery stores in town and fresh fish on the beach. Beach was busy with local tourists and parties during the weekend in July and August.
